25 ministers, 11 state ministers to take oath Thursday

News Desk :: President Mohammed Shahabuddin has appointed Awami League President Sheikh Hasina as the Prime Minister. As a result, she has become the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for the fourth consecutive term.

The Cabinet Division issued a gazette notification in this regard on Wednesday (January 10).

President Mohammed Shahabuddin has also invited Sheikh Hasina to form the new government as her party has achieved a landslide majority in the 12th Jatiya Sangsad election, held on January 7.

At a briefing on Wednesday night, Cabinet Division Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain said members of the new cabinet will comprise of 25 ministers, 11 state ministers and deputy ministers.

The members of the new cabinet will be sworn-in at Bangabhaban Durbar Hall at 7:00pm on Thursday. President Mohammed Shahabuddin will administer oath to the members of new cabinet.

After the sworn-in ceremony, the Prime Minister will distribute the portfolios among the ministers, state ministers and deputy ministers of the new cabinet.

According to a list of Cabinet Division who are becoming ministers- AKM Mozammel Haque, Obaidul Quader, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Dr. Dipu Moni, Md Tazul Islam, Muhammad Faruk Khan, Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali, Anisul Haque, Dr. Hasan Mahmud, Md. Abdus Shahid, Sadhan Chandra Majumdar, R. A. M Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, Md Abdur Rahman, Narayan Chandra Chanda, Abdus Salam, Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, Forhad Hossain, Md Faridul Haq Khan, Md Zillur Hakim, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Jahangir Kabir Nanok,Nazmul Hasan, Yeafesh Osma and Shamanta Lal Sen.

Who are going to become state ministers-Simin Hossin Rimi, Nasrul Hamid, Junaed Ahmed Palak, Mohammad Ali Arafat, Md Mohibbur Rahman, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Jahid Faruk, Kujendra Lal Tripura, Begum Rumana Ali, Shafikur Rahman Chowdhury and Ahsanul Islam Titu.
