Khaleda Zia did not get permission for treatment abroad

Desk News :: Law Ministry has not allowed BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s treatment abroad. It has been said that if Khaleda Zia goes abroad, she will have to go to jail first and then apply to the court.

On Sunday (October 1), following an application from the family of ill Khaleda Zia, the opinion of the Ministry of Law was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Law Minister Anisul Haque while talking to reporters said that Khaleda Zia’s sentence has been conditionally suspended and she has been released under the power of sub-section 1 of Section 401 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. If the decision under section 401 has no chance of annulment, it has already been settled.

In response to the question whether Khaleda Zia’s suspension of sentence will be canceled or not, Anisul Haque said that canceling the order of suspension of sentence would not be humane. we won’t do that.

Earlier, the Law Minister said, legally BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is not allowed to go abroad. He said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s opinion regarding Khaleda Zia’s treatment abroad is the position of the law and that is right.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will have to go to jail again if she goes abroad. In an interview given to Voice of America, the Prime Minister said, “I have allowed her to stay at home, she will have to go to jail and go to court after returning from there.”

The BNP Chairperson, who has been suffering from various diseases related to old age including liver cirrhosis, is undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital since August 9. There is no improvement in her health. Rather, the situation is deteriorating day by day. Sometimes she has shortness of breath. To be taken in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
