March for Gaza: Feni sees mass gathering in solidarity with Palestine

News Desk :: The “March for Gaza” event organised by All-Party Unity Council drew hundreds to the historic Mizan Maidan, transforming it into a sea of protesters by 10:00am.

Participants from various political parties, organisations, and madrasa students marched under their respective banners.

The event saw Mizan Maidan and its surrounding roads filled to capacity. Following the march, a protest rally was held, amplifying calls for justice and action.

Under the banner of Palestine Solidarity Movement Feni, the programme was presided over by Nurul Islam Adib, principal of Sonagazi Darul Ulum Ulema Bazar Madrasa.

Feni district Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary advocate Jamal Uddin, Islami Andolan Bangladesh Feni district Secretary Ekramul Haque Bhuiya, and Hefazat-e-Islam Feni district Secretary Omar Faruq led the proceedings. They condemned the violence in Gaza and called for boycotting Israeli and American products.

BNP Standing Committee member Abu Taleb, Professor Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan, central Majlis-e-Shura member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami; Afzalur Rahman, president of Hefazat-e-Islam Feni District; Sheikh Farid Bahar, convenor of Feni district BNP; Abdul Hannan, ameer of Feni District Jamaat-e-Islami; and Farid Uddin Al Mubarak, central adviser of Islami Andolon Bangladesh spoke at the event, among others.
