Md Sirajul Haque, the father of UK expatriate BNP leader Tanvirul Haque was killed in an attack by Awami League terrorists this morning. Innalillahi wainna ilaihi rajiun. He was 68 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by two daughters, a son, a wife and numerous relatives. Family sources said that for a long time, BNP leader Tanvirul Haque and his family members were being threatened by terrorists of the opposition Awami League political party. Witnesses said Awami League terrorists stabbed BNP leader Tanvirul Haque’s father to death in Nayasarak area of Sylhet around 10 am today. Pedestrians rushed the bloodied Md Sirajul Haque to the nearby Mount Adora Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. BNP leader Tanvirul Haque and his family members were seriously injured in an attack by Awami League terrorists on December 24, 2017. Fortunately, they all survived that day.BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, UK BNP President Abdul Malik along with Sylhet Metropolitan and District BNP have expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family of the deceased. In a statement, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has strongly protested the incident. BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the Awami League government is now killing, kidnapping and torturing BNP leaders and activists as well as their family members. He demanded exemplary punishment for those involved in the incident. Police are trying to arrest the terrorists.
