News Desk :: The National Independent Investigation Commission, formed to reinvestigate the 2009 Pilkhana massacre, has sought the cooperation of the Bangladesh Army in conducting the probe anew. The Chief of Army Staff, General Waker-uz-Zaman, assured the Commission of full support from the Army in carrying out the investigation.
The members of the Commission, led by its President, Major General (Retd.) A.L.M. Fazlur Rahman, paid a courtesy visit to General Waker-uz-Zaman to discuss important matters related to the investigation. During the meeting, they engaged in discussions on various significant issues concerning the reinvestigation.
Other members of the Investigation Commission present at the meeting included Major General Mohammad Jahangir Kabir Talukder (Retd.), Brigadier General Mohammad Saidur Rahman, Bir Pratik (Retd.), Joint Secretary Munshi Alauddin Al Azad (Retd.), DIG Dr. M. Akbar Ali (Retd.), Associate Professor Mohammad Shariful Islam from Dhaka University, and Assistant Professor Mohammad Shahnewaz Khan Chandan from Jagannath University.
