Farooqi murder case: Report on Novemver 15

A Dhaka court has set November 15 to submit probe report in the case lodged over murder of Islamic scholar and TV personality Mawlana Nurul Islam Farooqi.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury set the date as investigation agency CID failed to submit the report today (Wednesday).
On August 27, 2014, Bangladesh Islamic Front leader and presenter of the Islamic show on television, Maulana Nurul Islam Farooqi, was murdered in his house at East Raja Bazar in the capital.

On that day after Esha prayer, an estimated 6 to 7 youths enter Farooqi’s house. Shortly afterward, they tied-up three relatives including his wife and son and fled after killing Farooqi in a separate room.

In that case, his son Faisal Farooqi filed a murder case with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station anonymous six to eight people.
