A prayer and milad mahfil was held at Barikandi Central Jame Mosque after Maghrib today on the occasion of the 56th birth anniversary of Sheikh Russell, the architect of independent Bangladesh, father of the nation and the closest son of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Imam and Khatib of Barikandi Central Jame Mosque conducted the prayer and milad mahfil. Also present were leaders of Barikandi Union and Ward Awami League, Juba League, Chhatra League, Labor League and its affiliates. President of Bangladesh Awami Juba League Barikandi Union Akshar Ahmed and General Secretary Faizur Rahman Rukon expressed their gratitude to the guests and locals.
