The first death anniversary of Badr Uddin Ahmed Kamran, former mayor of Sylhet City Corporation and a member of the central executive committee of the Awami League, falls on Tuesday (June 15).
He died of coronavirus at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka on this day of the year.
On the death anniversary, leaders of various socio-cultural organizations, including the Sylhet Metropolitan Awami League, paid homage to the late leader by laying flowers at his grave on Tuesday morning. Besides, on the occasion of his death anniversary, various programs have been taken including commemoration, milad mahfil and distribution of food among the poor. Besides, on the death anniversary of this popular leader of Sylhet, various organizations held various programs on Monday.
