PK Halder files petition with HC seeking security to return home

Proshanto Kumar Halder (P K Halder), director of International Leasing and Finance Service Ltd who is currently staying abroad with allegation of embezzling Tk 3,600 crore, has filed an application with the High Court (HC) seeking security of his life to return home.

Besides, a desire has been expressed in the petition to discuss with investors over their payment.

Barrister Mahfuzur Rahman Milon, on behalf of P K Halder, filed the application with the HC bench of Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar on Monday (September 7).

Later, the court told for lawyer of P K Halder- inform the court when and by which flight he wants to return.

The court also said order will be given after hearing all parties including lawyers of the state and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The court further said P K Halder must have been under custody of law.

ACC lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan confirmed the matter to risingbd.
