Mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Ariful Haque Chowdhury has withdrawn his candidature in the conference to be held by Sylhet District BNP.
He said he had withdrawn his candidature in the light of instructions from the BNP high command.
He officially announced his candidacy at a news conference at a community center in the city on Tuesday (March 22nd) at noon.
