2 NRBs from UK dead, 3 family members unwell in Sylhet

Two non-resident Bangladeshis from UK died and three of their family members are critically unwell in Sylhet district this afternoon (July 26, 2022).
The deceased were identified as Rafiqul Islam and his son Myaul Islam, said Farid Uddin Ahmed, superintendent of Police in Sylhet.
Rafiqul’s wife, another son and daughter are undergoing treatment at Sylhet’s MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, he said.
The father and son died at the hospital after police, on information, recovered them from a house in Osmaninagar area in an unconscious state, he said.
They arrived in the country on July 12 and started living in the house since July 18, the SP said.
Police are investigating the incident reason.
