News Desk :: BMP DB police arrested the killer bus driver in connection with the death of Barishal University student at around 11pm on Friday.
Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner. Shafiqul Islam confirmed the matter in a press release to journalists.
Barishal Metropolitan DB (Detective) Police Inspector Md. Chagir Hossain said, under the direction of Police Commissioner Md. Shafiqul Islam, a smart team of city detectives led by Jamil Hossain, arrested the killer driver.
Arrested Jamil Hossain (27) is a driver of Narayanganj Travels Paribahan. He is the son of Haider Ali of Morichbunia village of Patuakhali.
The police commissioner said that the bus driver was arrested from Patuakhali Khaserhat village at 11 pm. He will be brought under due punishment by law.
Student Mayisha Fozia Mim was killed by Narayanganj Travels Paribahan bus in front of Bobby on Wednesday (October 30) at 9 pm. He is a student of statistics department of Bobby for 2022-23 academic year.
Meanwhile, the students who blocked the Barishal-Kuakata-Barguna-Bhola regional highway in front of the university since 6 pm have left. OC of the Bandar Police Station said that after they left at around 10:00 p.m., traffic became normal.
