Two groups of BCL clashed in Beanibazar, firing

Two groups of BCL clashed in Beanibazar. On Thursday (September 3) evening, a chase-counter-chase took place between the two sides on College Road and the main road of the municipality. There were also incidents of brick-throwing between the two sides.

The cause of the immediate clash was not immediately clear. Two BCL activists were injured in the incident. A man named Mostafa has been sent to Sylhet in critical condition. His home is in Kakardia village of Sheola union of the upazila. The name of the other injured was not known.

Upon receiving the news of the clash, the police of Beanibazar police station came to the spot and brought the situation under control. At present the situation is under the control of the police but there is tension and panic in the city.

A CNG autorickshaw and a motorcycle belonging to a businessman were allegedly vandalized during the clash
