News Desk :: British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke has emphasized on working together to strengthen ties between Bangladesh and the UK on trade and security partnership fronts.
“We discussed working together, strengthening UK-Bangladesh ties, boosting our trade and investment, strengthening our security partnership,” she said.
The high commissioner said this while talking to reporters after holding a meeting with Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud at the foreign ministry here on Wednesday (January 24).
The envoy said the UK would work together with Bangladesh on challenges such as climate change, migration and welfare of Rohingya.
The high commissioner said they will also continue to engage constructively with the Bangladesh government and political parties on democracy and human rights issues.
