{"id":1152,"date":"2021-06-22T11:48:56","date_gmt":"2021-06-22T11:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailysylhetersomoy.com\/english\/?p=1152"},"modified":"2021-06-22T11:48:56","modified_gmt":"2021-06-22T11:48:56","slug":"f","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailysylhetersomoy.com\/english\/f\/","title":{"rendered":"Planned measures helped Bangladesh be top 3 SDG performers: PM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Online Desk<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nPrime minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday said that her government\u2019s planned measures for country\u2019s development put Bangladesh as one of the top three performers on the Sustainable Development Goals Index score.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018We have taken planned measures for implementing the SDG and included it in the five year plan keeping in mind country\u2019s development,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She added various measures were also announced in the declaration letter, constitution and election manifesto of the Bangladesh Awami League keeping the country\u2019s development in mind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018We have been taking effective measures to implement those since assuming office for which Bangladesh is among the top three countries in implementing SDG,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the Sustainable Development Report 2021 launched recently by the Sustainable Development Solution Network, Bangladesh ranked among the three SDG performers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Prime Minister unveiled the cover of a memorial book titled \u2018Durjog Jhuki Hrashe Bangabandhu,\u2019 Bangabandhu in Disaster Risk Reduction, as she joined virtually an Executive Committee of the National Economic Council meeting from her official Ganabhaban residence here.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Other concerned got connected to it from NEC conference room.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mentioning that Bangladesh was in an advanced position in implementing the Million Development Goals, she said, \u2018We\u2019re approaching the SDGs in the same way.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sheikh Hasina, also President of the AL said whatever Bangladesh has so far achieved was possible due to collective efforts of all that included countrymen, her party\u2019s leaders and activists alongside the civil and military officials and law enforcement agencies members.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The PM thanked all concerned for accepting the decisions taken by her government and working sincerely for their execution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this connection, she said her government, on the one side, is facing global Coronavirus pandemic alongside giving protection to the people and on the other side, also running the country\u2019s economy, which was possible for collective efforts of all.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She said that Bangladesh is dealing with lots of problem that included manmade ones which it did in the past and pledged to take Bangladesh ahead facing all the hurdles, saying, \u2018Bangladesh is being taken forward and will definitely advance.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The PM said, \u2018Measures taken by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in reducing risks of disasters is an example for not only Bangladesh, but for any disaster-prone area in the world.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailysylhetersomoy.com\/\">DSS<\/a>\/22\/July\/2021\/Nurul<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Online Desk Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday said that her government\u2019s planned measures for country\u2019s development put Bangladesh as one of the top three performers on the Sustainable Development Goals Index score. \u2018We have taken planned measures for implementing the SDG and included it in the five year plan keeping in mind country\u2019s development,\u2019 she said.
