sylhetersomoy :: A Union Parishad Chairman and a Chhatra Dal leader were killed in a road accident in Sylhet. The accident took place at around 12:30 pm on Saturday night in Sylhet-Bholaganj Bangabandhu highway near Salutikor area number 10.
\nThe deceased are – Chairman of Jalalabad Union Parishad No. 1 of Sylhet Sadar Upazila, Awami League leader Md. Obaidullah Ishaq and District Chhatra Dal Joint General Secretary and Stadium Market businessman M. Hafizur Rashid.<\/p>\n
According to police and local sources, Obaidullah Ishaq and Hafizur Rashid were returning from Companyganj upazila Sadar on Saturday night. After arriving at area number 10 near Salutikar Bazar, a motorcycle collided with a truck. Ishaq and Hafizur died on the spot.<\/p>\n
On receiving the information, Inspector-in-charge of Salutikar Investigation Center Nirmal Chandra Dev went to the spot along with a group of policemen, recovered the two bodies and sent them to Osmani Medical College Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.<\/p>\n
