Desk News :: Ruling Awami League general secretary Obiadul Quader on Wednesday said that they would not allow the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party activists to stand on streets from now on.<\/p>\n
\u2018They [BNP] have to face counter besiege, if they come to lay siege. We will not allow them to stand. They [United States] are demanding free, fair, peaceful and transparent elections and they will impose restrictions on those trying to resist elections. We want election,\u2019 said Quader while addressing a rally what the party called \u2018peace and development rally\u2019 at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Bangladesh capital Dhaka.<\/p>\n
He also wanted to see action to be taken by the United States against those who would try to resist the elections.<\/p>\n
AL Dhaka south city unit organised the rally marking the 60th anniversary of the the country\u2019s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s youngest son Sheikh Russel and \u2018Sheikh Russel Day\u2019.<\/p>\n
