Killer Sad’s Reckless Extortion: The people of Alinagar are proud

This is how the top terrorist Sad Uddin wants money by threatening on the phone while sitting abroad!!

If someone refused to pay the subscription, he was threatened with cocktail explosions or blank shots around his house. After that, he was attacked and injured if he did not pay the contribution. Even after the attack, more dire consequences await if the subscription is not paid. In the name of top terrorists, the case of extortion in the greater Alinagar of Banibazar has been going on behind the scenes for many years. But now such incidents are happening openly. In recent times, many residents of the area have had a sleepless night due to various incidents of top terrorists calling directly and asking for extortion and non-payment of extortion. People are silently paying subscriptions day after day, fearing for their lives after receiving calls from terrorists. Although there are cases of extortion of crore of Taka every month, the victims do not file a case or GD in the police station. Victims make only verbal complaints to law enforcement officers. That is why the cases of extortion are not investigated seriously. Apart from this, the numbers from which the calls are received are also outside the country.

So they cannot be identified. Victims also do not provide accurate information about who hands over the extortion money to the terrorists in the country. However, sometimes in isolated incidents, members of terrorist groups in the country are arrested. Before going to jail, give sensational information to the interrogation. The investigation revealed that in the greater Alinagar area, construction of facilities, drug trade, land purchase and sale, business establishments, garment factories, house owners, high-ranking employees, doctors, small and big traders, private clinics-hospitals, slums, permanent-temporary markets, contractors The top terrorists took money from him. This top terrorist who is abroad calls the concerned organization or person on the phone and asks for money. And in these extortions, the name of the same terrorist is coming again and again. And he is the top terrorist Sad Uddin alias Killer Chad. There are at least 5 different groups named after Sad Uddin in Alinagar area. Each group has 25 to 30 members. They each carry firearms. Keep in touch with each other by opening groups on Whats App. All instructions come from abroad through the group. The group members first inquire about the target person’s name, address, business establishment, financial assets. Later collect the person’s mobile number. The number is sent abroad. From there, the killer gave a call. Several untoward incidents have been reported in Alinagar area due to non-payment of subscription.

Incidents like cocktail explosions, shootings and arson have occurred due to non-payment from the concerned person. Cases and GDs have been filed in the police station in these incidents. On the evening of the first day of this month, an unpleasant incident took place in Tikarpara area of Alinagar. Around 7:50 in the evening, 15 armed terrorists entered the office of Welfare Society, an organization of house and flat owners, in Tikarpara, Ward No. 3, Alinagar. They had firearms. As they entered the office, they fired several blank rounds. At least 20/30 people who were already sitting there ran away to save their lives. Later, the terrorists were sitting there, the contractor of Alinagar area. Yusuf Ali (62) was hacked with a chapati and shot in the leg, fatally injuring him and fled. Injured Yusuf Ali is still undergoing treatment at the hospital. In this incident, a case has been filed by the victim in Banibazar police station. In the case, Azhar Uddin (28), the cousin of top terrorist killer Chad Uddin, has been named as the main accused and 6 others have been named and 6/7 others have not been named. The other defendants are – Md. Raihan (27), Md. Emon (25) Md. Shahjamal alias Sabu (28), Md. Sujan (30), Md. Tanveer (26) and Jahin (24). Sylhet Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) first arrested Raihan after the case. During DB’s interrogation Raihan said that he participated in the attack. However, the DB learned that those who were in the attack had participated under the leadership of Raihan.

The attack was carried out on the orders of the killer Sad Uddin from abroad. Raihan told DB that there is only one person in Alinagar area. And that is Sad Uddin. He has more than a hundred agents in that area. A child was born in the area, but the news reached Sad Uddin first. Contribution is collected from each sector of the area in the name of roof. A DB source said that the attack was carried out to intimidate Yusuf Ali that evening over extortion and business disputes. Because Sad Uddin and Yusuf Hossain have been doing business together for a long time. By showing dominance and intimidation, Sad Uddin used to get Yusuf Hossain to work. Sad Uddin used to do everything with his followers even from abroad. His cousin Azhar Uddin used to visit Yusuf Hossain’s office all the time. He used to take drugs inside Yusuf Hossain’s office with the door closed. In this situation, a GD was filed with the police station to remove the equipment from the project. Sources related to the DB’s investigation also said that Sad Uddin’s followers are on the run since the attack. After Raihan, another person named Rifat has been arrested. Many of the participants in the attack have been identified. The Brothers Group authorities received a call from the top terrorist Sad Uddin demanding Tk. 13th July last year.

On that day at around 12:30 PM Sajid Ferdous, the manager of Brothers Group called Sajid Ferdous Sani’s mobile phone number in the identity of Sad Uddin, the head of Sad Uddin, and demanded Tk. Also said that his younger brother Azhar will contact later.

Sometime later at 1:26 PM, he called Sunny’s mobile number from mobile number 01902383235 and asked for Tk 2 crore by identifying himself as Azhar Uddin, the younger brother of Sad Uddin. The company manager threatened Sunny with great loss and death if he did not pay this money and resorted to law enforcement. Call again and tell when and how to receive the money. In the GD made at Banibazar police station the next day, it was mentioned that the brothers group was very worried about this incident. DB police investigated on the basis of GD. DB said, although GD did, we believe Brothers Group gave money to Sad Uddin. Because if the subscription is not paid, the top terrorists create panic by shooting cocktails and blanks with their representatives. They also created panic by intimidating the group of brothers. He set fire to the rickshaw in front of the office. DB sources also reported that another untoward incident took place on 14 February 2023. A businessman of Alinagar’s Ramda Bazar was asked for a large sum of money by calling from a foreign number in the identity of top terrorist Sad Uddin. The businessman was intimidated by exploding cocktails in front of his shop as he expressed his inability to pay the subscription. Later, the businessman gave the money without informing the law enforcement agencies for fear of his life.

Similarly, after receiving a call from the roofers and not paying the subscription, another businessman was going home on a motorcycle and a cocktail was detonated next to him. DB said that the businessman also paid subscription out of fear. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Division of Sylhet Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) Saiful Islam told Daily Sylhet Times that there are many cases of extortion in the name of one top terrorist in Alinagar area. But the victims do not file a case at the police station. The mobile numbers from which subscription is requested by phone are outside the country. If those from whom extortion is demanded do not cooperate with us, it will be difficult to catch these extortionists. However, we are investigating the cases of those who are being blasted for fear or panic for extortion. Several people have been arrested at various times. Sources say that in January 2017, Junayed, a hotelier of Alinagar area, received a phone call from India asking for 1 crore rupees in the name of sad Uddin. Junayed was shot dead on the night of February 1 of that year for refusing to pay the contribution.

Sad Uddin and members of the killer group were on the killing mission. Earlier in 2015, Zahidul Islam Russell, a drug dealer of Alinagar’s Jagirdar Bazar, was killed for extortion. At last Alinagar residents are waiting with full of hope when they will be freed from the terror of Killa Roof.
